THE NATIONAL SECURITY PLATFORM

THE ART OF WAR

THE ARMS ARE FAIR WHEN THE INTENT OF BEARING THEM IS JUST.

WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
  1. Put in place a balanced budget amendment to the constitution of the federal government as well the paying off of the national debt. This was not put in the wrong platform. The Extremely irresponsible financial path the government is on is the greatest potential threat the nation faces at this time. More so than North Korea, Iran, China and terrorism together.
  2. Massively upgrade Guam’s defense capabilities. Immediately.
  3. Harden the nation’s defenses against cyber-attack which will be the 21st century’s most potentially harmful form of attack that hostile foreign powers could use short of actual war.
  4. Raise the budget for military housing & housing allowances by 50%.
  5. Increase the U.S. Navy to an optimal fleet size of 400 ships, consisting of 13 carrier strike groups and the same number of carrier air wings, with air wings having 624 strike fighter aircraft.
  6. Pass legislation making all military vehicles meet class one standards of armor protection.
  7. The creation of a freight/dock yard security agency to secure, monitor and inspect all freight coming into all U.S. ports.
  8. The establishment of a single set of stringent internationally adopted airline security standards.
  9. Add a sub-committee to the armed services committees of both houses of congress to deal exclusively with the opinions and concerns of the enlisted ranks of the armed services.
  10. A reciprocal phase out of all sub-based I.C.B.Ms. with the Russian federation and People’s Republic of China. As well as a phase out of up to but not exceeding 75 percent of land based nuclear warheads.
  11. Pass legislation ensuring the civilian military sealift command (M.S.C.) is commanded only by naval officers with at least 5 years service in the M.S.C. as well as the purchase of 10 new tankers & 10 new container ships forthwith.

While the positions in the various platforms in this review shall indeed make up part of the overall party agenda, it should in no way whatsoever be seen by anyone as the final draft. Certainly, many issues have not even been touched on. While other positions already in this review need editing & additions. The party’s first executive council will take up these issues when it convenes.
